The travel search site did a little research and found that a lot of folks like to drop what they’re doing at work and make travel plans on the company dime. So to help make it look like you’re still heads down on the “important” stuff, Kayak created an “At Work” site that looks like a normal spreadsheet — titled Travel Problem Solved Report, in a nod to the cult classic “Office Space.”
Users can search for flights or find hotel deals all while appearing to be managing a typical workday activity.
We know you’re not doing it, but over the cubicle wall, Jim’s favorite time to browse travel options is between the hours of 11 a.m. and noon, according to Kayak. And Nancy found her screaming deal on girls’ weekend in Vegas on a Tuesday, because that day of the week tops all others for traffic surges to the Kayak site.
